In addition to the Book-Cycle shops, our books are available from many business premises. Look out for Book-Cycle shelves in pubs, cafes, restaurants, hotels and Doctor’s surgeries. Like the shop you can take up to 3 books a day and donate money at the bar or till. There are posters at each location explaining what we do and a lovely selection of different books to nose through... If you would like to have a FREE bookshelf in your establishment, staff room or residential halls please get in contact, we’d be delighted to come along and fill some shelves. Its success is what you make it, so the rest is up to you! (Though we will always lend our full support if needed) We hope this encourages people to stay and use the facilities you offer, and it gives us an extra outlet for our books and an opportunity to 'Spread the Word' about Book-Cycle. It also gives you and your customers an opportunity to directly empower individuals throughout the world and benefit your local community too. Amazing! Current Shelf-Cycles include. . . These Spaces have now become branches of the Book-Cycle tree... see map for locations of each. People love 'cycling' through books whilst drinking their coffee." "At last this is happening in Exeter. I love going through the shelf at Boston Tea Party for something to read on my break and have had some great books away. It's really popular here and I look forward to similar innovations and initiatives in Devon. :)" Chaucers "Love the idea of Shelf-Cycle. We have a donations pot set aside especially for it right next to our newspapers and magazines. I've bought a couple of books for myself and my partner, and have even added a few of my old books! Keep up the good work." The Plant Cafe Deli "The Plant Cafe owners and staff are very pleased and happy working with Book-Cycle. We think it's a very good idea and all our customers who get involved love the idea too!" The Real McCoy "It's a fantastic, brilliant idea. We love books! :)" Shaker Maker "The Maker Shaker's of Exeter love Book-Cycle and sometimes just come in for a book then back later for a shake!!" |
