Money - There are various ways in which you could help finacially. Shop online for your usual items at most internet shops and easyfundraising.org will give a small amount of money for every purchase, at no extra cost to you! go to http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/Register/?char=21253 and register with book-cycle. Direct Debit can be set up, these are extremely helpful as they give us a good indication of what fumding is coming in so we cat better plan our year. Direct donation through our paypal account, send us a cheque; made payable to Book-Cycle or Postal Order. Better still, come into the shop and make your donation in person. Books – Any old books, you no longer want, please drop in to the shop. If we are not open it is usually safe to leave them outside as someone should be back shortly but feel free to phone ahead if you want to check we are open. At the moment we can collect from the Exeter area, or further out if we are already making other journeys but unfortunately can not make special trips to collect small book donations. Contact us if you want your books collecting and we will see if we can help. Trees – If you are planning on donating your unwanted saplings or plants, please phone us for suitable delivery times or possible collection. If you know of any nurseries that are disposing of their surplus trees, contact us and we will endeavour to save the trees! Your Time – See “Volunteering” to find out how you can help Book-Cycle with your time. Time is the most valuable of assets. Send a Box Yourself! - It is a great thing to do as a family, class, group and you really get to see the direct result of your help; you can choose the books and pack the box and in 5-6 weeks see a picture of your gift in the hands of smiling children on the other side of the world. You don’t need to give us the money to send the box, do it yourself! : ) It costs around £26 to send a 5 kilo box by Surface Mail and generally takes around 3 – 4 weeks. Air Mail is quicker and more reliable but considerably more expensive, generally around £54, but cost varies depending on country. Get in contact if you would like more info on how to send a box. Other Donations – We are usually in need of other random bits and bobs. If you have something you think might be of use to us, please get in touch. Email is probably best, with a description of what you have. In the past, we have been donated sofa beds, chairs, tables, whiteboards, mugs and other crockery, kettles, and, you may not believe, a kitchen sink!, the list goes on . . .
